Activities: This activity starts in the traditional village of Brasilito, little mud streets and wood houses, make you feel in the real Costariccan time. After crossing the village you will arrive to the first beach" Marquitos" it is simply beautiful, in total you will visit 3 different beaches and Shell Beach is part of them. Shell Beach doesn't have this name just to make us dream but because during some high-tides one part of the beach is full of millions of Shell fragments. The white sand and the blue transparent water look like a real terrestrial paradise. A the end of this bay there is a little dry forest typical of this Provence where it is usual to observe howler monkeys, o big iguanas (Garrobos)
After 2 hour of beach discovering, it is time to enjoy another kind of paradise this time aquatic. The grown is pure white sand and that makes the observation of the colorful fish really attractive. Puffer fish, small blue, parrot fish and more live in the Pacific ocean of Costa Rica, the place is not deep maximum 8 feet and you feel safe.
Then our minivan drive you to the entrance of the National Park of La Baula. It first interest is the Leatherback turtle nesting (from October to

Manuel Antonio - Wildlife and Paradise

Day I: The transportation comes to pick you up at 8 am at your hotel, after check in at the hotel Karake at Manuel Antonio, enjoy your afternoon discovering the beach and town. This is a very pleasant place to walk around, shopping at the artisanal market in front of the beach or drinking cocktails at the sunset time.

Day II: At 7:30 am our naturalist guide comes to pick you up and you will follow him for a 3 hour tour inside the National Park. There is an incredible variety of wildlife that you will observe: squirrel monkeys (endemic to the area), white faced capuchin monkeys, raccoons, three and two-toed sloths, white-nosed coaties, and more. Montezuma & Turtle Island paradise

Day I: We leave at 8 am from your hotel and go down to the Pacific coast where we pass the peninsula de Nicoya to Montezuma. This little typical family fishing village is still not very touristy and great for taking pictures. After your arrival in your hotel, you will enjoy all your afternoon, walking around and visiting the Montezuma waterfall located at 25 minutes from the village.

Day II: 9:15 am we start from the beach with our boat and follow the coast the Turtle Island. We cross by the Curu Reserve where it is usual to observe dolphins and sometime whales depending the season. Just before the island there is a really beautiful rock arch, the water is turquoise and the contrast with the yellow rock is amazing.
Upon arriving to the tropical paradise of Turtle Island we anchor the boat within viewing distance of the white sand beach for our first snorkeling session. The crystal waters at Turtle Island are surrounded by volcanic rock reef which is home of the best snorkeling site on Costa Rica’s Central Pacific coast. While lunch is being prepared grab a cold drink and take a stroll along the beach and swim in the calm crystal waters. For lunch, our chef serves up fresh BBQ fish or chicken in his secret sauce, tasty grilled potatoes and vegetables, bread and a big fresh tropical fruit buffet. Onto the Island beach games are availabe. In the afternoon, join us for a second snorkeling session at a different spot on the reef or take a nap under the coco palms on the island. As the day comes to an end we get back on the boat for the picturesque ride back to Montezuma.

Sport Fishing Trips

Fishing trip: Half day (4hour), Full day (8hour), 3/4 day (6hour)

Location: Playa Tamarindo or Flamingo beach (25minutes from Tamarindo)

Fishing Report: Depending the season, Yellowfin Tuna, Marlin, Sailfish, Mahi-Mahi, Red Snapper, Grouper, Roosterfish & more.

A Good fishing Day: There are simply no words to properly describe what it is like to catch a large billfish. It is more like wrestling than fishing, and the excitement of watching a massive fish jumping and freaking out at the end of the line can not be missed. The adrenaline flows along with the beer, and the arm muscles burn like hell when the fight is over. Billfish change color and "flash" like electric signs when they are on the line, and by the time they are wrenched to the boat you will have a new respect for the beauty and power of these amazing animals. Costa Rica is arguably the best spot in the world for billfishing, and the close proximity to the continental shelf make for more fishing time and less motoring to the fishing grounds. On the day that this video was shot, we landed 5 billfish.

Leatherback turtle nesting

Activities: The Leatherback turtle is the largest in the world after the Galapagos turtle. They come every year from October to February by night to nest at Playa Grande beach. Every night we organize a tour depending on the tide. Sometime we wait 2 hours under the stars before to see one but this is an incredible tour. We walk on the beach by night with our guide. The National park accepts 30 people maximum per night and camera, video or flash light are forbidden because artificial lights disturbs the nesting process.

Activities: Hike in the Barra Honda National Park have main attraction is an intricately large system of limestone caverns which house a multitude of capricious forms and figures. Reef rocks constitute Barra Honda hill, of 300mts tall, which means, by old reefs that sink caused by an elevation provoked by tectonics faults 60 millions of years ago. In this area you can enjoy you can observe coatis, agouti, anteaters and monkeys also point out species of tree and medical plants. These Hike takes around one hour approx and this hike is difficult, because depending on your physical fitness.
